Small Church with a
Big Vision
Our Desire to See People Experience
Freedom in Jesus Christ
We are a small group of believers in Wolf Creek that have a desire to grow in our love and understanding of God AND to help others know God as well. Jesus said that he is the only way to get to God.
How do we get to know Jesus? How does he free us from our sin issues that we all experience? Let me briefly share with you how this can happen.
- Jesus said: “You must be born again.” This is a spiritual birth that starts with the Holy Spirit drawing us back to God. So there is God’s part in the process and there is our part as well. (see John 3)
- There needs to be a recognition on our part that we are lost and that we have done things that separate us from God. This is called sin. Scripture is clear that we have all done wrong and the penalty for this sin is death. But, thanks to God, He has provided a way for us to enter into a relationship with Him, through Jesus Christ. (Rom 3:23, 6:23, 5:1, etc)
- Jesus said: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16). In other words, God has done his part to save us and there is our part to believe that He as saved us through Jesus.
- There is no other way to God. Jesus said: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6). This means that there is no other path or means or effort that we can do to enter into a relationship with God except through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
- This needs to be a conscious decision of turning from our old way of thinking and doing things and turn to God’s way. Jesus said: “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” (Mark 1:15)
- The writer of Romans (Apostle Paul) says: “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” (Romans 10:9-10)
- Jesus said: “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32). So the promise is that if we believe in Jesus and hold to his teachings, then you will be set free from the power of sin. Jesus is the only way to obtain true freedom.
I would like to encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ. All it takes is a heartfelt prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ asking him to be a part of your life. He promised to give us His Holy Spirit to be our guide and help in how to walk with God in victory.
Feel free to contact us for me into how this works. We would love to talk to you about it.
